This weekend Brandon Mathis and I spent a total of 24 hours in Oklahoma and they were some of my more productive ones. I was dominated by a 9 year in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, enjoyed some delicious sleep, and ventured into the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. They had a spectacular exhibit of Roman art from the Louvre. They didn’t allow photos of the Rome exhibit, but I was able to get some photos of the permanent displays on the 3rd floor.
I’m sorry I don’t have all of the artists and titles, but the photos of the info on some were unreadable.

Oooh that art is so nice. I wanna go to a museum! I haven’t done anything remotely .. cultural? .. in a sadly long time.
I like that second photo. Looks like blood spattered underwater awesome. For some reason, it makes me think of John Locke. Don’t ask why. I don’t know.
And thank you thank you SO much again for your help today! My room is about .. half unpacked now. We have to wait on the cleaning folks to come clean the carpets and kitchen like they were supposed to have done, before we can unload everything.. which is extremely lame. but still.. almost.

I love John Cage’s work. He’s probably the only person who could make 4 min and 33 sec of silence exciting. Though, his foray into filmmaking didn’t really work out. He’s all about randomness and ambience as art.

So I totally just want to reach through the screen and run my finger accross one of Chihuly’s pcs! Oh my gosh, he is one of my favorites…. along with Louis Comfort Tiffany… I have a thing for glass… It is beautiful. NE ways, bust out those Legos man! They are the best thing ever! Hey…. you should create a video using legos kind of like the White Stripes did for Fell in Love With a Girl. I would, but I haven’t got the know how yet!

2 Questions:
Why do you get to hang out with Brandon Mathis? That’s not fair
Is Super Smash Bros good? I need a new Wii game.

Because we enjoy the smell of vanilla and creepy benign creatures, and yes, Smash Brothers is a fantastic game. Might I also suggest Mario Kart.
