Jami is doing well, so well in fact they have moved her from the ICU and into a private room. They told us they will have to watch her closely for about 7 days, but it seems she is progressing far quicker than anyone could have hoped for. I don’t know when she will be checked out of the hospital. When I sent my mom a text for an update, I received GREAT.

Before I returned home on Sunday I wanted to drive through downtown a little before I left. I wish I would have spent more time there, but I needed to start back so I wouldn’t fall asleep at the wheel. From what I have been told the months following the surgery will be some of the most difficult. They say that because the number of people coming to visit and help tends to drop off. Maybe once I land a job I can muster some gas money and make the coming months run a little smoother and get a little more exploring done.  Out of all the things I saw downtown this trip, this mural was my favorite.
